The scenario of education in rural areas is alarming. SFRI group firmly believes that youth can play a pivotal role in improving this scenario. This talk series invites great personalities who have contributed to education and whose work is the source of inspiration.

  1. Dr Anil Kakodkar

Dr Anil Kakodkar is a renowned Indian nuclear physicist and Mechanical engineer who was the Director of BARC and the chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India. The Government of India awarded him Padma Shri (1998), Padma Bhushan (1999), and Padma Vibhushan (2009) for his phenomenal contributions in uplifting the nation to the top league of nuclear-capable nations. 2. Ranjitsinh Disale

Mr Ranjitsinh Disale is a primary school teacher from Maharashtra and the winner of the prestigious Global Teacher Prize 2020. He has also been appointed as World Bank education advisor for the period of 2021-24. He is well-known for his innovative teaching style, including adding QR codes to primary category books which enable the students to get links to audio poems, video lectures, stories, etc.  Read more…

3. A S Kiran Kumar

Mr Kiran Kumar is a highly accomplished space scientist and former chairman of ISRO. He has a distinguished career spanning over four decades in ISRO in the satellite payload and applications domains.
